Ashlee Simpson has that unique fashion sense. She may be too extremes in her styling that it looks like being an emo chick has to do with it, but good thing she knows how to keep it low sometimes. Such is the case shown on these paparazzi shots where she and husband Pete Wentz were spotted in NYC.

We just can’t take that black-themed ensemble from her, but what is actually surprising is that she’s carrying a Chanel Stretch Spirit Cabas Tote. It is indeed a bit surprising because you would actually expect her, being a rocker-chic, to carry tough-looking purses like those from Alexander McQueen or Thomas Wylde.

But anyway we would be more surprised if the bag is not in black, but we can’t blame her anyway since the bag is just naturally fabulous and versatile in that color. It is indeed far from the iconic Chanel purses we usually see around celebrities, but this also exudes the same luxuriousness. It seems smooth in leather material but it also has some wrinkled effect for added style. It also has a cinched top that creates ruching effect, plus the Chanel logo is quite subtle in tonal stitching on the front. Obviously, the Chanel bag is large, enough for celebrities to pack in their stylish essentials and more in it.

So there, Ashley Simpson is not only emo chick, she’s simply a glamorous rocker-chic type of person.
