Judith Leiber Pigtail Minaudiere

I’m not sure what Judith Leiber was thinking when she designed this Pigtail Minaudiere, but perhaps she just simply adores animals. There’s the owl, frog, jaguar and other animals that perhaps nobody thought that it could be made into an interesting clutch design.

So here’s another of it again, this time, in a pig-inspired design. Though pigs are usually associated with something that’s dirty, since they’re mostly seen in muddy places, this clutch tells that a pig can also bring luxury.

This minaudiere is fully beaded with multicolor Austrian crystals, showing some pinkish and blackish shades, portraying a real pig-like image.

The crystals all over should definitely be enough to keep a dazzling look, plus the cuteness of the pig should make this clutch striking. It measures about 4½ x 3½ inches and it can be carried through a detachable chain shoulder strap of 50 inches in length, or simply through your palm. The push-lock closure would show kidskin lining with a double-sided mirror and matching coin purse.

I’m not really a fan of such pieces, but I can’t deny how stunning and exquisite Judith Leiber creations are. Also, as much as I would want to have just even one from her designs, I’m still having doubts with it because everything seems to retail expensively, such as this Judith Leiber Pigtail Minaudiere that sells for $3,600.
